One of TU's main objectives is to see that our waterways are able to be utilized. So, if you have any suggestions for water way improvements please email me at harveysctu@hotmail.com. Please be specific as to the section of water way and the improvement's, the more details you give will help us in determining the feasibility of each idea.

This site is for us to learn from one another so please send me any articles, pictures, how too's, or any other content you think would be of interest (harveysctu@hotmail.com). NOTE THAT THE NEXT REGULAR MONTHLY FAMILY PICNIC MEETING on June 24th will be held at the Moyer residence. See directions below. There will be a raffle, but details are not available at the time of printing. SUMMER OUTDOOR MEETING SCHEDULE: June 24th, Dave Moyer’s home, Pine Grove. Driving directions can be found below. July 22nd, Family Picnic at the Schuylkill Haven Dam. August 26th, Fishing on the Little Schuylkill River, New Ringgold picnic area. (To be September 23rd, tentatively planned for fishing at Sweet Arrow Lake. Upcoming Activity Schedule: Norm Thornburg Youth Conservation Camp, July 17-19th, 2008 at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds. As always, members are needed to man our chapter’s fishing booth. Directions to Dave Moyer’s home—June 24th. Family Picnic meeting :
Dave’s place is two and a half miles past Friedensburg on Rt. 443 going west
towards Pine Grove. Look for a red barn on the left, directly opposite his
driveway. There’s also an orange traffic cone and a TU sign on the telephone
pole at the entrance. Turn right into his drive, and go approximately a quarter
mile. It’s narrow, so use caution. Bring a folding chair and your fly or spinning
rod in case we have a casting contest. Hope to see you there!
There are two separate fishing excursions coming up:
Jack Travis is organizing a trip to once again fish for brown trout on the South Holston and Watuga Rivers in northeast Tennessee, Monday, June 2nd. to Friday, June 6th.
Whether you try optional guided drift boating or wading for river trout, a great time was
enjoyed last year. Reservations are open, call Jack at 570-366-9298 for further information.
